The Happiest Man on Earth Summary – Lots of Love
What would you do if one day, you come to your home and no one is there, you assume that your family might have gone outside and after an hour, someone broke the door of your house and beat you up for two to three hours. Now, imagine, the same routine repeats for years and you can’t do anything about it because one person on top was gone mad (Hitler). This is the story of Edward Jaku OAM aka Eddie Jaku, The Happiest Man on Earth.
When I was reading the book, the only thought I had was “I wish I was there with Eddie to help him.”
It’s the story of Eddie Jaku and I won’t review the book but I will share five lessons that Eddie has taught me.
Let me first say thank you for reading this. This will be a weekly newsletter, hope you enjoy it. Now I will see you every Sunday at 9:00 AM (IST).
Tell Your Mother You Love Her
Just like Eddie, I love my mother and I’m sure you love your mother too. No matter how old are you, go to your mother’s room and tell her that you love her, and spend time with her because you don’t know, how long she will be with you.
She loves you unconditionally and you know that too, she will never ask anything but it’s your duty to tell her that “mama, I love You and I’m here if you ever need anything” that’s the only thing she wants from you.
Give her that, and tell her that.
If you have the opportunity today, please go home and tell your mother how much you love her. Do this for your mother. And do it for your new friend, Eddie, who cannot tell it to his mother. – Eddie
Hope is The Only Thing That Keeps men/women Alive
During World War II, people were feeling hopeless. Many have taken their own life because they didn’t see that things will change and lost that one hope that, things will get better.
Eddie was there too but he didn’t lose one thing which is Hope. Hope was the one thing, why he lived for 101 and hope was the one thing that he shared his life with us.
Eddie has given me one thing which is hope. No matter what happens from now, I have hope that things will change and if not then I will try until I die.
Smile and be Happy
Happiness does not fall from the sky; it is in your hands. Happiness comes from inside yourself and from the people you love. And if you are healthy and happy, you are a millionaire. – Eddie
You can’t be happy if you hate someone. You can’t get happy if you’re jealous of somebody. You can’t love someone if you don’t love yourself.
From this movement, be happy, life is not easy but you have to accept your life and ride on it with a smile on your face.
Please, every day, remember to be happy and to make others happy too. Make yourself a friend to the world. Do this for your new friend, Eddie. – Eddie
Hate is a Disease That Can Destroy You From inside
Hate is a big word and you should never use that word because nothing comes good out of it.
Sometime, you might win but that day, you will lose yourself.
Love Your Body
I am still in awe of the human body and what it is capable of. I am a precision engineer, and I have spent years making the most complicated, intricate machinery, but I could not make a machine like the human body. It is the best machine ever made. It turns fuel into life, can repair itself, can do anything you need it to. That is why today it breaks my heart to see the way some people treat their bodies, ruining this wonderful machine we are all gifted by smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, and poisoning themselves with drugs. They are demolishing the best machine ever put onto this Earth, and it is such a terrible waste – Eddie
What else can I say, your body is capable of everything you think of, you just have to show the path. Once you read this book, you will come to know the power of the human body.
Enjoy yourself, you don’t need to drink alcohol, consume cigarettes or even drink coffee to start the day. You never needed this kind of thing…
To Eddie, my new Friend
He is not with us but he will stay with us forever. He has taught me lots of things about life and I will try to convey the same message to others.
We humans have a simple, life, some might have a big house, lots of cars, and even lots of money but to live happily, you don’t need any of these things, you just need love (of course, water and food too).
So love yourself, and the people around you. Don’t hate anyone, let go of the past and live the life you want to live, today.
Now, go read my new friend’s book, The Happiest Man on Earth.
Love What You Read, You Might Like These too…
