I read this book about six months ago and I still feel, I should have read this book back when I was 15 years old. The Rework has everything that a 15 or 18-year adult is looking for.

So if your age is below 20 then make sure you read rework and apply the knowledge in your life because the things you learn from college or school won’t help you in real life.

Multitasking Will Eat You Alive

Yes, you heard it right. If you work on multiple tasks at the same time then you won’t be able to do even a single task with 100% energy.

Let’s say, you want to make a Youtube channel, and also, you want to make a website and you also want to do the job and you also want to start a new business and you also want to start a podcast too.

Now, I won’t say anything, just ask yourself, will you be able to do even a single task with full energy?

Let’s assume, you can do everything with full energy for a month or two but what after that?

You may have heard, Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

It applies in business and even in life too.

So if you have a business idea then you can work on that but after that, you can’t spend your time on other things. Now, if you’re also doing a job then that’s okay, work on business after job, you don’t have to quit your job.

The keyword is, manage.

Focus On What You Have

I use to do this, I always wanted what I didn’t have.

Let’s say I have a good smartphone and if some company launches a new smartphone then I was like, I wish I had that phone.

So if you’re running a business and if another business has a big office and if you have a small office then don’t complain about it, focus on what you have and give 100% on that, don’t focus on what you don’t have.

This way, you will save time and you will spend that time on impotent tasks.

Run As Fast As You Can

Whatever mistakes you made in your business, learn from them, and don’t just stop there.

Also, if you’re competing with other businesses then try to do something different than other businesses, don’t copy them.

If you need help, hire staff. Now, hire only when you feel “I’m not able to do everything on my own” don’t just hire because you wanted to hire.

Invest as much as you can in your business and expand as fast as you can, everything you invest will come back, don’t think like, investment is just spending, it’s not.

Start Working On That Idea

Everyone has a dream and everyone want that dream to come true but if you don’t work on that dream then nothing will happen.

So if you have a business idea and if you truly believe in it then don’t waste a second.

Try to reach an investor and tell them about your idea and if no one wants to invest in your business then do it yourself.

If you’re doing the job then you don’t have to quit your job because you will have hours after your job, and you can work on that time.

You just need to believe in your idea and the rest will come true.
