Do Epic Shit Summary
Do Epic Shit is a self-help book that is written for new readers. As Ankur Warikoo has only shared basic information which is already out there on the internet for free but as this is written in simple ENGLISH, this might be a good start for new readers.
I’ve been following Ankur Warikoo for about a year now and when I came to know, that he had announced the book, I immediately pre-ordered it and it took me only a day to finish.
I usually don’t complete any book in a day but this was a bit different because it was about failures.
Ankur Warikoo 2nd book: Get Epic Shit Done Summary
I believe It’s better to learn from someone else’s mistake rather than repeating the same in our life. Ankur Warikoo has shared his mistakes about money, business, and time.
Time Won’t Come Back
Everyone has a dream, but not everyone will pursue it. Some are afraid, while others don’t believe in themselves.
If you have goals and truly believe in them, don’t overthink them—start today, start now.
Don’t keep saying, ‘I’ll start tomorrow.’ Tomorrow comes, and then you’ll say, ‘Not today, maybe next week.’ Eventually, you’ll forget about it.
The time is now. Time will be tomorrow, but you won’t be here forever. One day, time will pass, and you’ll be left with regrets. Don’t be that person who complains, ‘I don’t have time.’
Respect time, because once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Don’t Run After Goals, Run After Habits
Yes, I do set goals and aim to complete them within a specific time frame.
For example, if you want to wake up at 6:00 AM every day, you need to go to bed at 10:00 PM.
This way, you won’t feel tired all day. But if you sleep at 2:00 AM, waking up at 6:00 AM will be hard, and even if you do, your day will be off track.
Next time, you may not even bother to try.
So Focus on building good habits, even small ones. They may not show immediate results, but over time, you’ll begin to see the impact. The same goes for exercise. You won’t see results after one day, but after a month or two, you’ll notice the changes.
So, prioritize small habits, and in the end, you’ll be much closer to achieving your goals.
Money
Don’t go after money—work hard every day, and money will follow.
Everyone talks about how to save money, but not many tell you what to do with it once you have it. Many people opt for fixed deposits instead of investing in the stock market or mutual funds because they don’t know the next step.
Ankur Warikoo has also made many mistakes with money that he has shared in the book.
Sometimes, we think a new smartphone will bring happiness. Yes, it might make you happy for a day, but that happiness will fade quickly.
Instead of buying a new phone, why not stick with the one you have and invest that money in something meaningful or something you truly need?
Just don’t make mistakes with money because once it’s gone, you will regret it. Be careful with money.
Do Epic Shit Review
The book is written in such a way that you don’t have to read from the start, you can read from anywhere.
It’s written in a simple way, making it easy to understand. For beginners, this is the perfect book to start your reading journey.
I can go on & on but I will stop here. So if you haven’t read the book then go grab your copy from Amazon and start reading it.
Yes, it’s not for everyone, and that’s okay. Not every book resonates with every reader. Some are meant for beginners, and that’s exactly what Do Epic Shit is all about.
What I learned from Do Epic Shit
I’ve read tons of self-help books, but this one feels a bit different. I’ve been following the author for a while, so as I read, I can almost hear his voice and see his face, making it feel more personal and relatable.
Here are the Few takeaways
- Focus on the long term, as short-term goals can sometimes mislead you. Work every day towards your goals; if you miss today, you might miss tomorrow too. Make your goals a part of your life.
- Don’t chase money.
- Remember, time is money—use it wisely.
